Moscow more news
Today i realized how quickly time passed by. Already one month is gone and only five more month in russia to go. Today is the second of february and i m feeling really ill and tired. The last weekend i was in moscow with Isabella, a polish volunteer from upsala zirk. During this trip i catched a serious cold. Anyway, we had a very good time. We stayed at my friends place at Warschwskaja Station. I know Nadja since my childhood, so ist always nice to meet here again.
Our adventure already begun with the purchase of the train tickets. After hours of waiting, they told us there are no more tickets availible or only if we come back tomoroow morning and so on. It was really, really annoying. After some more visits to several ticket offices we ve got some tickets. Even if the way of buying is difficult, there is one thing i really like about russian trains. Its the way they are constructed. In one wagon are 54 sleeping places. 2 at the outer window and 4 at the inner window. No doors inbeetween all 54 places. Like a huge shared flat. This is so amazing! Every wagon has his own samowar, a teacooker. It s so unique, i love it.
Of course you have to deal with, that it s boiling hot inside, but as soon as you change to another wagon it s freezing cold and snow is lying on the ground...
In Moscow we started the typical tourist program: mausoleum of Lenin, the red square, the kreml, GUM, churches... and even if i ve seen all these attractions many times, they still faszinate me. Especially the underground system is amazing and very impressive. After 3 days of sightseeing we returned to st. petersburg. At the next weekend we (Isabella, Kristina, me and some others) will travel to Nowgorod ... news soon!
P.S.: We took a lot of pictures and hope i will solve the upload problem as soon as possible.
